Dr. William Hunt, a native of Poquoson, Virginia, is a third-generation dentist. After completing his undergraduate studies at the Virginia Military Institute, Dr. William Hunt earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. Following dental school, he served in the Active Army Dental Corps for three years and retired from the Army Reserves after 30 plus years of service, attaining the rank of Colonel. He is a veteran of Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom.
Dr. Bill is committed to providing quality dental care and furthering his knowledge. He has continued his post-graduate studies at:
- Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Key Biscayne, Florida
- Dawson Center for the Advanced Dental Study in St. Petersburg, Florida
- The Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies
- The Nash Institute for Dental Learning in Charlotte, North Carolina
He has attended multiple Invisalign® courses and participates in Spear Education, study clubs, and many more. He is dental sleep medicine qualified and is actively pursuing his Diplomate status of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

In his free time, Dr. Bill enjoys boating, traveling, and is an automobile enthusiast. He is devoted to his community by serving as a board member for Old Point National Trust and The Virginia Air and Space Museum. Additionally, he is a member of The Scottish Rite, The Poquoson Masonic Lodge No. 49, and The Hampton Roads German Club.
