Dr. John Hunt has been practicing dental care since 1960. Dr. John, a graduate of Poquoson High School, completed undergraduate studies at Randolph Macon College and earned his degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia. He has been devoted to providing top dental care since 1960 where he worked alongside his father, Dr. Frank Hunt, who started the practice in 1924. During dental school Dr. John married his wife, Corrie, and together had three children – Jack, Dr. Bill, and Susan. Susan is actively working as a dental hygienist in the practice at Hunt Smile Design.

Over the years, Dr. John has furthered his knowledge in dental care at numerous continuing education courses, his most recent being the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Key Biscayne, Florida, The Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies and Spear Education. Dr. John has been very active with his family and community. He has served on the Poquoson High School Board, First National Bank Regional Board, Central Fidelity Bank Regional Board, President of the Peninsula Dental Society, President of the Poquoson Lions Club, President of Poquoson Little League, and many more.
